Job Summary
Mezzo Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assembly Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the assembly and construction of precision components for our advanced microtube heat exchanger products. This role requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical documentation to ensure accuracy and consistency in all builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively interprets and applies information from engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation to complete assigned work
- Responsible for inspecting and testing in-process and finished assemblies/products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications
- Apply various adhesives to bond and assemble critical product components in accordance with technical specifications and safety standard
- Opportunity to develop skills in operating and programming laser welding machines for high-precision manufacturing applications
- May be required to handle or work around hazardous materials while strictly adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment
- Applies technical expertise and teamwork skills to complete assignments efficiently with minimal supervision or direction
Qualifications
- One (1) or more years of manufacturing experience
- Ability to read and comprehend mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, technical specifications, assembly instructions, and test procedures
- Highly self-driven with the ability to understand directions and efficiently complete assignments independently
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and a high level of initiative and drive
- Basic computer skills and operations
- Mechanically inclined
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must be able to lift 20 or more pounds
- Must have a valid driver's license at the start of employment and maintain it throughout the course of employment
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekend shifts as required by engineering and observing schedules
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum experience of one (1) year in the assembly of precision parts, components or equivalent
- Requires the ability to read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions
