Overview

The Prouts Neck Country Club has an opening for a multi-talented golf Professional starting on May 1, 2026. This will be a seasonal job (May - October) that would provide the successful candidate the opportunity to go "North/South" if the candidate is interested.

The candidate chosen will participate in every aspect of the golf operation and will enjoy comprehensive education and training in all facets of golf operations management. We are seeking a candidate who is highly self-motivated and looking to work in an environment that will prepare them for the next employment opportunities that come over the next two to four years. The staff is led by Chris Twombly, the 2024 NEPGA Bill Strausbaugh Award winner.

The successful candidate will work approximately 40 hours a week in all months except July/August where candidate will average around 50 hours. In addition to exposure to all aspects of the golf operation, the candidate is also expected to play golf with members (at the club and in Pro-Ams), be available to help teach private lessons and clinics, as well as be a strong presence in the junior program. While private adult instruction opportunities are available, junior golf will be the instruction focus of this position, and opportunities should be plentiful. The selected candidate will have a multitude of responsibilities related to tournament operations, merchandising, leadership, golf operations, junior engagements and junior strategy.

The successful candidate should be a PGA member or working towards membership. Experience in many facets, while not required, will be looked upon favorably. Ideally, the candidate will be highly self-motivated and want to engage in all aspects of a private club setting. The candidate should be enthusiastic, be willing to "do what it takes" to contribute to the success of the facility, have a caring and friendly demeanor, and be willing to exceed member expectations with regard to service and commitment.

Benefits of the position include salary, housing, 100% of lesson revenue, as well as full access to both the golf course and all practice facilities. Additionally, there is a stipend for tournaments, dues and education. The monthly value of the job should be approximately $5000+ a month for the six months of employment.
