Overview

Rutland Country Club is seeking a motivated, team-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to join our golf staff for the 2026 season. This role provides an excellent opportunity to grow and develop as a PGA professional while gaining experience in all aspects of the golf operation.

About the Club

Rutland Country Club is located in Rutland, Vermont just minutes from world class Killington Resort. Established in 1901, the club will be celebrating it's 125th anniversary this upcoming season and will also be the host of the 2026 Vermont Mid-Amateur Championship. The club features a classic Stiles & Van Kleek design that is a true hidden gem and one of the top tracks in Vermont.

• Passion for the game and commitment to professional growth.
• High level of attention to detail, awareness & anticipation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Golf Genius, GHIN, POS Systems and additional basic computer applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

Essential Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day golf operations, ensuring a smooth, professional, and welcoming experience for both members and guests.
• Plan, execute, and support club tournaments, events, and leagues.
• Provide private/group instruction and continue to grow our junior program.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing Pro Shop, assisting with merchandising and sales.
• Mentor and lead seasonal staff, fostering a positive and service-focused team environment.
• Represent Rutland Country Club with professionalism, delivering a relaxed yet refined golf experience.
