Job Title: Golf Shop Associate
Location: Sergeant Jasper Golf Club - Ridgeland, SC
Pay: $16-$18/hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (Flexible Scheduling Available)
About Us:
Founded in the late 1960s, Sergeant Jasper Golf Club, affectionately known as "The Sarge," is a
historic nine-hole course dedicated to expanding access to golf in the South Carolina Lowcountry.
Acquired by the Congaree Foundation in 2021, our mission is to provide a quality, affordable course
for residents of Jasper County and the surrounding communities.
The club serves as a home for local high school teams and hosts events for youth golf programs,
reflecting our commitment to fostering the next generation of golfers.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and personable Golf Shop Associate to join our team. This individual
will be the first point of contact for members and guests, playing a key role in creating a positive and
enjoyable experience at our club.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule tee times, and manage reservations
- Operate the point-of-sale system for merchandise and greens fees
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the golf shop and surrounding areas
- Restock merchandise and assist with inventory management
- Provide basic information about the course, events, and policies
- Support with outing check-ins and daily operations as needed

Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
- Reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills; experience with point-of-sale systems is a plus
- Golf knowledge is helpful but not required
