Description
Ruppert Landscape is a privately held commercial landscape maintenance and construction company based in Laytonsville, MD. With a multi-state presence and a small company feel, our mission is to provide opportunities for our people, take care of our customers, and be good stewards of the environment and our community.
We are hiring for a Landscape Specialist to join our team.
Reporting Location: Birmingham, AL
Salary Range: $50-60k, depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Maintain all landscaped areas, hardscapes, and plantings to keep the property in excellent condition year-round.
- Perform daily gardening tasks including weeding, pruning, watering, mulching, and debris removal.
- Monitor plant health, soil conditions, and irrigation systems; make minor adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Follow a consistent schedule of seasonal landscape maintenance activities.
- Communicate regularly with property management and the Ruppert team to provide updates and ensure quality.
- Operate tools and equipment safely while maintaining a clean, professional appearance on-site.
Qualifications:
- Strong horticulture knowledge and 2+ years of professional landscaping or gardening experience.
- Working knowledge of irrigation systems and basic repairs.
- Trustworthy, self-sufficient, and task-driven with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable using email and basic computer tools.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to read and speak English fluently.
- Valid driver's license required.
