Vanderbilt University (VU) Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) seeks candidates for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of the Practice, in the general areas of biomedical instrumentation and medical device signals and systems. The target start date is July 2019. The primary responsibilities of this position will be teaching core courses as part of our redesigned undergraduate curriculum, with additional opportunities to contribute to and lead new departmental initiatives such as an industrial internship program or a proposed Master of Engineering program in BME. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in an engineering discipline. Candidates with a M.S. degree and extensive teaching and/or industrial experience will also be considered. Experience with the medical device industry is preferred, and candidates with professional licensure are encouraged to apply.
