We are looking for entry-level engineers to join our Transportation Engineer Associate (TEA) program. You will gain hands-on learning and experience with a starting salary of $65,000 and a permanent position at the end of the program.
This program is only open to recent college graduates with a passion for transportation, public service and the drive to lead in the smart transportation revolution. We will be choosing 30 candidates for admission. Candidates accepted into this program may be given the opportunity to relocate. The role may require registration as a professional engineer with the NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
In this 18-month structured program, you will pick your rotations in Roadway, Structures, Environmental Planning, Hydraulics, Geotechnical, Utilities, Photogrammetry, Maintenance, R&D, Marine, Rail, Aviation, and Construction. Associates earn $65,000 entering the program and are awarded an Engineer I permanent role at $71,391 at the completion.

What You Bring
Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree, or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Less than 2 years of post-graduation engineering experience.
Analytical thinking and academic success.
Strong written and oral communication skills
Interest in areas such as transportation and environmental planning, design, construction, and maintenance.
Bachelor's degree in the engineering, such as Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Surveying Engineering and Management, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Biological & Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Systems Engineering.
