About the role
As a Health & Clinical Consultant (Consulting Principal), you will make an impact by leading strategic engagements and shaping digital health solutions that improve clinical outcomes and patient experiences. You will be a valued member of our Public Sector & Health Consulting team, working collaboratively with senior stakeholders, delivery teams, and clients across the public and private healthcare sectors.
In this role, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership and expertise across product strategy, solution design, implementation, and operational delivery, ensuring alignment with patient safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead clinical governance and clinical safety activities, clinical incident management, clinical safety frameworks, risk assessments and risk management processes within an IT services environment, working directly with clinical leadership from some of our key clients.
- Lead and deliver high-impact consulting engagements across hospitals, government health departments, and private health providers.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Service Delivery, Customer Success, and Healthcare Operations teams to ensure safe, effective, and clinically appropriate digital health solutions.
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, clinical leaders, government agencies, healthcare providers, and community health organisations.
- Support customer adoption and value realisation initiatives, driving continuous improvement in clinical outcomes, safety performance, and service quality.
- Contribute to business development activities, thought leadership, proposal development, and client growth opportunities across the healthcare sector.
- Drive product strategy and lifecycle management for digital health solutions, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows and regulatory frameworks.
- Mentor and coach consulting teams, supporting capability development in healthcare transformation, digital health, and clinical governance.

What you must have to be considered
- Clinical background (e.g., medicine, nursing, allied health) with experience in clinical practice or clinical operations.
- Proven experience in health product management, including strategy, design, and delivery of digital health solutions.
- Strong consulting experience, ideally within a top-tier consulting firm or health-focused consultancy.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leaders, clinicians, technology teams, regulators, and healthcare customers.
- Deep understanding of the Australian healthcare ecosystem, including public and private health systems, funding models, and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of Australian healthcare standards and regulatory frameworks, including:
- Aged Care Quality Standards
- National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards
- RACGP Standards
- Australian Privacy Principles and healthcare privacy regulations
- Clinical governance and patient safety requirements
- Current Australian clinical registration (e.g., Registered Nurse, Medical Practitioner, or Allied Health Professional).
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Medicine, Allied Health, Clinical Science, or related healthcare discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in Digital Health, Clinical Informatics, Healthcare Management, Public Health, or Quality & Safety (desirable).
- Certifications in Clinical Risk Management, Health Informatics, ITIL, Change Management, Patient Safety, or Project Management (desirable).
- Experience working with government health departments, aged care providers, healthcare technology organisations, or major healthcare service providers.
- Familiarity with emerging healthcare technologies including AI-enabled clinical workflows, virtual care, remote monitoring, digital therapeutics, and population health platforms.
- Experience leading large-scale healthcare transformation, clinical operating model redesign, or technology-enabled care programs.
